It all started as a gift for my niece's 1st birthday. My wife crocheted an adorable doll and I turned it into a picture book starring that same character. I then took it further and animated the pages as a narrated video.

But I didn’t stop there.

As a kid, I used to imagine my favourite storybook characters coming alive, moving from page to page. It was always just in my head, until I came across Augmented Reality. Suddenly, I could bring characters to life right on the page, making that childhood dream come true.

My niece was obsessed, so I ran with it. I produced a limited run of 100 books, built an e-commerce site to handle orders and shipments, promoted it on social, and sold them. All of them.

What began as a gift for one little girl turned into a full creative journey and one of my favourite projects to date.
